Put some respect on that man

If you had asked me last week I would’ve said there’s no way. I was telling EVERYONE at the kickoff party the Patriots we’re gonna lose. I just wanted it to be commendable. Don’t get absolutely pulverized and I’ll be happy. But this was so much better than that. I know the Bengals are historically ass-butt incarnate the first few weeks of the season. Joe Burrow is 1-7 in the first 2 opening games of the season. Super obscure stat but it definitely jumped out.

Burrow looked average. He looked like Kirk Cousins. Might be time to panic Atlanta. But that’s for another week. The Bengals couldn’t find any rhythm. At the half they had a single 3rd down conversion. The Patriots however had 7 and a 10 point lead. I know the O-line was advertised to be a problem but with Rhamondre running like he did you wouldn’t be able to tell. But the man who was handing him the ball was the star for me.

Did Jacoby’s stats jump off the page? Absolutely not. But he was the guy Sunday. The drives he was able to orchestrate were a thing of beauty. Just dictate the line and jam it right in their stupid faces. Jacoby had some nice throws and even nicer runs to convert a couple third downs. Jacoby was that dude on Sunday. I’m not saying he’s going to blow the doors off any team this year but I will say, put some respect on his name now.
